Postdoctoral Fellow

The postdoc training is the pathway towards an independent faculty position for Ph.D. candidates. Mentored by the PI, the postdoc fellows are expected to independently carry out research projects that are closely related to the interests of the lab, including but not limited to the homeostatic regulation of body temperature, sleep, feeding, drinking, as well as the circadian oscillations of these physiology and behaviors. Applicants should email a cover letter, CV, and a list of three references to Dr. Tongfei Wang (wangtongfei@cibr.ac.cn).

Research Associate

The Research Associate is a long-term staff position for Ph.D. candidates who pursue a stable career path in the Wang lab at CIBR. The successful candidates are expected to be experts in at least one of the major research approaches in the lab, such as electrophysiology, real-time imaging, high-throughput sequencing, or behavioral analysis combined with in vivo recordings. Unlike postdoc fellows, who mainly focus on one or two certain projects, the research associates contribute their research expertise to a variety of projects in the lab in a collaborative manner. In addition, the research associates will have some spare time to learn new skills and develop new projects. This position can be structured with considerable flexibility for the right candidates. Applicants should email a cover letter, CV, and a list of three references to Dr. Tongfei Wang (wangtongfei@cibr.ac.cn).

Research Assistant

The Research Assistant is a full-time position for post-baccalaureates who want to obtain additional research experience before attending graduate school in biomedical sciences. This position requires a commitment of at least one and preferably two years. The successful candidates will be directly mentored by the PI in conducting cutting-edge neuroscience research. Applicants should email a cover letter and CV to Dr. Tongfei Wang (wangtongfei@cibr.ac.cn).

Technician

The Technician is a long-term staff position for college or master graduates who pursue a stable career path in the Wang lab at CIBR. Unlike RAs, who carry out independent projects, the technicians instead mainly assist researchers in the lab with specific skills, such as survival surgery, animal husbandry, or genotyping. The technicians will also have some spare time to learn new technology and develop new projects. This position can be structured with considerable flexibility for the right candidates. Applicants should email a cover letter and CV to Dr. Tongfei Wang (wangtongfei@cibr.ac.cn).

Undergraduate Intern

The Undergrad Intern is a part-time position for undergraduates who are interested in our research. The successful candidates will be directly mentored by the PI in conducting cutting-edge research. Applicants should email a cover letter and CV to Dr. Tongfei Wang (wangtongfei@cibr.ac.cn).
